MISSION STATEMENT APPROVED!!

At the December 8 Board/Committee Chairs joint meeting, the results of the November Mission Statement Workshop were discussed at length. From the four proposed mission statements, we were able to bring them together into the statement above. This is the Mission Statement that the Board of Trustees approved at their January 12 meeting. We feel this statement encompasses all of the common themes that we wanted to communicate: building a community, ministering to ourselves and to others, finding our common values while celebrating our differences, and exploring and deepening personal faith and growing spiritually. We feel this is a useful, meaningful statement that this and future Boards of Trustees can use to guide this congregation and its events and social action work for the next five to seven years.
